Business cards are an essential part of networking, they help people remember who you are and what you offer, so you want those business cards to be momorable. I’ve designed dozens of business cards over the years and have included a few different types below for you to view.

Hair by Charlotte

created with: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

Hair By Charlotte is an independent hair technician based in Elgin, Moray. Charlotte asked me to design her a business card that could double as an appointment card. I went with pastel pink and cream colours incorporating icons that represent her business. This was a fun little project as it was a slightly different business to the ones I had been working with, giving me a little more creative freedom with the design.

The Aberlour Hotel

created with: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

The Aberlour hotel requires a lot of print material, including brochures, flyers, posters and business cards.
The business cards use the gold tone with a burgundy background as these represent the physical signs for the hotel that can be seen on the building and around the town of Aberlour, with some filagree to break up the colour a little.

DT Valeting Services

created with: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

DT Valeting Services are a local mobile valeting service from Dufftown, they got in touch and asked me to design their business cards and supplied me with an extremely small pixelated image of a car. I redrew the car in Adobe Illustrator and kept the rest of the card design very minimal, using a checkered pattern to break up the solid colour.

GladiatorFit

created with: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

Kathryn Evans of GladiatorFit is a personal fitness trainer who runs her own gym in Lossiemouth, Moray. Kathryn wanted business cards with a space for writing an appointment date and time on the back, she only needs one appointment time for initial meetings with clients so it left lots of space to work with. The design of this card uses colours that are quite contrasting to give a bold, modern feel and the shapes wrap from one side of the card to the other.

Nikki White Wedding Planner

Nikki White is a wedding planner who currently works exclusively with the Aberlour Hotel. She asked me to create the business cards for her new business, mixing the style with the Aberlour Hotels so as to associated both businesses. I will be working with Nikki over the coming year to develop a new logo, website and social media presence for her business.
