In the last few years I have started to design and develop a series of games set in the “Mila & Bobby” universe. The idea is to create a universe of games and build a brand so that users become familar with character and scenes even when games are not directly linked or even in the same style of game play.

I am currently working on three different games. One is a side scrolling platform game, another a mixture of puzzles and quizzes set to a story while the third is an interactive story based education game aimed at children aged three to six years old.

Mila and the Quest for the Golden Axe

created with: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Scirra Construct 2, BrashMonkey Spriter

Mila and the Quest for the Golden Axe is a side scrolling platform game that follows Mila through time and space as she hunts for the elusive guitar know only as The Golden Axe.
This is a fun platform adventure game where you collect items through each level while battling enemies by either jumping on them or hitting them with a guitar attack.
A really easy pick up and play game that is aimed at anyone who likes a platform game with great graphics and smooth gameplay.

Mila & Bobby - Wonder warriors

created with: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash/Animate, Scirra Construct 2, BrashMonkey Spriter

Wonder warriors is a fun, easy to play game aimed at a young age range, from three to ten. It incorporates puzzle style games, like jigsaw, spot the difference and repeat a pattern to mention a few. The game is set to a comic book style story line where the user has to help Mila and Bobby complete tasks in order to defeat the bad guys and save the world.

I designed the graphics with Adobe Illustrator and the first build of the game used Adobe Flash/Animate, but I found it limiting due to my lack of knowledge in ActionScript. After demoing the game at XpoNorth I got positive feedback and decided to rebuild the game using Scirra’s Construct 2 game engine, this will allow me to add betterr elements of game play and complete the unfinished seven levels. A finished product will be available late 2017.

Mila and Bobby's Alphabet Adventure

created with: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Character Animator, Scirra Construct 2, BrashMonkey Spriter

This is an educational game aimed at children aged three to six years old , but can be enjoyed by all ages. It is an interactive story based game that helps to educate the user in their a,b,c's, phonics, shapes, numbers, colours and general knowledge about various topics.

The user picks a letter and then presses the coloured buttons to progress through each story, when they are finished they can either return to the home screen or take a quiz which tests the information they have just seen.

The game has a narrator that talks to the user and there is a dialogue box with written text to read. It's a very easy to use system and the graphics look great, it is a really fun educational game.
